Although my first love and primary interest is Morgan horses, I also have several nice Quarter Horses. Most of these mares came from Berry College, where they were used in their breeding program. During my time at Berry, I was responsible for these mares during my breeding and foaling internship. All of these horses are heavily cow bred and I am happy that they are able to spend their retirement years with me.

Jinx is the product of Marge and my friend, Ben Lee’s stallion. She carries strong Hancock and Doc Bar breeding. This filly is amazingly quick and athletic and just floats when she moves. Jinx has a strong work ethic and the type of personality that needs to be kept busy! She has been handled since birth and has been ponied on trail rides, hauled, clipped and used for 4-H demonstrations. Jinx is fast and handy and a sure footed mount in difficult terrain.

Peppy was injured as a four year old and donated to Berry College where she had an extensive career as a broodmare. She is a Peppy San Badger granddaughter. She has produced AQHA earners of over 463 points, multiple AQHA World qualifiers, and High Point AQHA event horses in several events. In addition she has produced PHBA earners of 125 points. After ending her career as a broodmare, she happily lived out her retirement on our farm.

Marge was the first horse that I rode as a freshman at Berry College. Marge was used as a reining horse and ridden by the college equestrian team before beginning her career as a broodmare. She was heavily Doc Bar bred and is the dam of Jinx who is pictured above. Marge was mainly used as a trail horse now and was a lot of fun to ride.
